My Story

My career has been driven by passion. While managing the Mint blog and social channels, I discovered my love for telling stories. Currently, I am a Senior Communications Manager at TurboTax, leading the TurboTax Blog and TurboTax Studios. I’ve produced digital miniseries and podcasts that reach millions, with the aim to educate while also entertaining, or “edu-taining.” I link to this work under the Campaigns page and hope that you check it out!

A key part of my approach is a deep commitment to the customer experience and their stories. Throughout my career, I have prioritized understanding our customers’ needs and challenges, ensuring content is not only informative but also resonates on a personal level. By fostering direct engagement with our users, I’ve been able to create content that truly addresses their experiences, culture and provides a benefit to improve their financial lives.

I have spearheaded social campaigns and developed content strategies for TurboTax, Mint and Turbo. I’ve worked with some of the top financial influencers of the millennial and gen z generations, top social influencers and celebrities. While at Mint, I had the privilege of going on an 11-city book tour with The Financial Diet, representing Mint as sponsor of the tour and faciliated engaging, in-person conversations with young millennials at each stop.

As an original member of the all-women’s improv group, Brick House, which performed in San Jose’s American Improv Theatre, I strongly believe in implementing improv theory to create fabulous team dynamics. Particularly the “Yes, and…” approach. This mindset encourages open communication, creativity, and collaboration within my teams. By fostering an atmosphere where ideas can flow freely and team members feel valued, we can tackle challenges more effectively and innovate continuously.

It is impossible to have an “about me” section that doesn’t also mention my two daughters, Eva and Pari, whom I share with my husband Rachit Lohani. Both are incredibly outgoing and while we are often asked if they’re twins (our love of matching may be a source of confusion…), they are 15 months apart. When I’m not developing content geared toward bettering financial lives or best practices for fellow content creators, I am creating riveting bedtime stories about two little princesses and their adventures with unicorns, fairies, bunny rabbits, dragons, and evil witches!

Good always wins, of course.
